As a protected bird sanctuary since 1938 and with over 150 different species of bird being monitored there are some amazing opportunities to catch a glimpse of sea eagles, kittiwakes and of course the oystercatcher.

Canna is also home to large colonies of the lovely funny little puffin.

There are also some rarer species of butterfly.

Dolphins & porpoises escort the boats in and out of the harbour, basking sharks can be spotted and there are lots of inquisitive seals.

There is also an abundance of wild rabbit, some hedgehogs and the little Canna mouse!
